Re-Imagining Linux Platforms to Meet the Needs of Cloud Service Providers

"Linuxlab today announced the release of its version 1.0 server operating system, designed as a fast reliable server operating system."

"Our new distribution of the popular Linux OS is optimized for Web, e-mail, ftp, and telnet servers," said Charles Liu, Linuxlab founder and CTO. "It is a fast, efficient and stable Linux server OS."

"Liu said that Linuxlab's top engineers removed from the standard edition of the operating system all software code for server operations, including the desktop environment and DOS emulation. Their engineers only retained code designed to optimize server functions. This left a compact operating system that performs server operations fast and efficiently."
