Aug 28, 2000, 23:51 (0 Talkback[s])

"Bynari Inc. today announced the availability of its TradeServer product for Sun Microsystems' Solaris (Nasdaq:SUNW), SCO's UnixWare (Nasdaq:SCOC), and variants of BSD."

"TradeServer joins Bynari's lineup of mail products for Linux and UNIX workstations. The new additions share the same programming code as the Linux versions. TradeServer provides cost savings to organizations by using Internet protocols which do not require Client Access Licenses."

"Bynari designed its client line to unify enterprises using diverse platforms such as Linux, Sun's Solaris, HP UX, IBM's AIX and Microsoft NT."

TradeServer competes with Microsoft Exchange, HP OpenMail and Lotus Domino through interoperability standards of the Internet. Bynari's principals see its product line moving Linux another step closer to challenging Windows for the Corporate Desktop."
