Re-Imagining Linux Platforms to Meet the Needs of Cloud Service Providers

"Intrinsyc (CDNX: ICS) today announced that it is introducing a new networking technology that reliably links Linux- based devices to Windows enterprise systems. Building on the success of Intrinsyc's deviceCOM for Windows CE and NT, Intrinsyc's new deviceCOM for Linux enables customers to use Windows at the enterprise level, while taking advantage of the benefits offered by Linux for embedded devices. This new software solution, and an accompanying vertical market application, will be demonstrated at the upcoming Embedded Systems Conference in San Jose, CA., from September 26th to 28th, 2000 (booth No. 1808)."

"...Intrinsyc has been licensing deviceCOM for Windows CE and NT since 1998 and it has emerged as an industry standard for connectivity solutions with few rivals. It is currently licensed by a number of Intrinsyc customers, including Ford, ICONICS, and Intellution. Intrinsyc will license the use of deviceCOM for Linux in the same manner, following general release of the product in January 2001."
