In contrast, due to the LGPL nature of the GNOME libraries, you can sell proprietary software based on the GNOME libraries without paying anyone a cent."

"Now, I personally endorse the fact that Trolltech licenses Qt for real money. Those folks have done an outstanding job of putting together a cohesive, stable, well-documented toolkit. If someone is going to use Qt to build and sell a commercial application, why shouldn't Trolltech demand a cut of the financial rewards?"

"But would that have been enough to encourage Eazel or the others to support Qt and KDE in favor of Gtk and GNOME? I can't help but wonder."
