"Caldera Systems Inc., (Nasdaq: CALD) Monday announced that they are collaborating with Intel and Bull to bring Intel's Common Data Security Architecture (CDSA) to Linux."

"The development includes a 32-bit version of the software and a 64-bit version that will be tuned for the upcoming Itanium processor family. Caldera will include the 32-bit version of CDSA in their next version of OpenLinux -- scheduled for release fourthquarter of 2000. The Linux for business leader will be first to integrate CDSA in a Linux business solution."

"CDSA, developed by Intel, is a leading security framework for the development of security-enabled applications that are interoperable, extensible and offer cross-platform support. Established as an industry specification by The Open Group, CDSA has recently been open sourced by Intel."
