Re-Imagining Linux Platforms to Meet the Needs of Cloud Service Providers

"LynuxWorks and Metro Link today announced that Metro Link's X Window System extension, Metro-Media, is now running on BlueCat Linux, bringing multimedia functionality to embedded applications."

"This combination of technology gives developers, working in the enhanced Linux distribution from LynuxWorks, the ability to embed MPEG video in their target devices. Metro-Media features include image capture and display, audio capture and playback, hardware-accelerated MPEG 1 and MPEG 2 support, full-motion video capture and playback, and full-motion video capture and playback with real-time support."

"Metro Link has also ported its mission-critical X server, Metro-X, and other X Window System products to BlueCat Linux."
