Nov 16, 2000, 15:34 (1 Talkback[s])

"Advantio Incorporated, an Illinois corporation, is offering commercial support for the Orasoft applications for Linux. The first product offering is the ObjectManager 2.0 bundle, and is available immediately from the Advantio website."

"ObjectManager is an application used by Oracle administrators, developers, and end users. The software allows the user to create, edit, and view objects on the Oracle database. Supported objects include datafiles, dblinks, functions, indexes, redo log files, packages, procedures, rollback segments, users, roles, sequences, user sessions, synonyms, tables, table spaces, triggers, and views. ObjectManager is a creation of Free Software project Orasoft. The bundle includes binaries, source code, manuals, database "extras", an Orasoft T-shirt, and a single support "incident."

"The Orasoft project was founded in December of 1998. The project's goals have remained constant: to develop "best of breed" business software for the Gnu/Linux operating system. The primary focus thus far has been Oracle client applications, but with the next release of SQLWork Orasoft will branch out to support other databases. The Orasoft project web page is located at http://www.orasoft.org"
