"An autobiography of Linus Torvalds promises an inside look at the open-source revolution. The Linux creator says it was purely accidental."

"Finnish software revolutionary Linus Torvalds, the freewheeling inventor of the Linux operating system popular in Internet circles, has agreed to write an insider's account of the grassroots crusade he began."

"HarperBusiness, a division of HarperCollins Publishers, said in a statement Monday that it plans to publish the book, entitled "Just for Fun: The Story of an Accidental Revolutionary" in the spring of 2001. The book will be co-authored by David Diamond."

"A spokeswoman for the publisher of popular business titles said the book will reflect Torvalds' quirky and irreverent personality. "Just for Fun" will combine autobiography, technological insight, and business philosophy in an account of the phenomenal growth of Linux."
