business was critical for HP, so we created the LSO and empowered
it with extensive research and development capabilities," [director
of marketing for HP's Linux system operations, Mike] Ballmer said.
Perens will provide LSO with strategic advice and direction on
areas such as clustering, software development, management
solutions and digital content creation."
