"Rappore Technologies, a champion of wirefree communications,
today announced the formation of a strategic relationship with
Lineo, a leading embedded Linux company, to port Bluetooth
technology to Lineo's Embedix embedded Linux operating system. This
is the first announcement of a Bluetooth protocol stack for an
embedded Linux OS. Rappore Technologies is also the first
'wirefree' company to join Lineo's Partner Connect program."
"Rappore Technologies' Professional Services organization is
working with Lineo engineering to integrate the two technologies.
This effort integrates Rappore Technologies' protocol stack, which
adheres to the proposed Bluetooth 1.1 Specification, and Embedix,
which is based on the Linux Open Source release 2.2.17. The
resulting solution enables wireless connectivity for embedded
devices such as personal digital assistants (PDAs), portable office
equipment, automotive computing, cellular phones, digital cameras,
medical equipment, industrial automation products, or any OEM
embedded application that requires Embedix support and Bluetooth
radio connectivity."
