"LUGs Resource Project, providing community services to Linux
Users Groups world-wide finds a new home at the independently
owned, vendor neutral site, LinuxUsersGroups.org."
"LinuxUsersGroups.org announced today the launch of the new
Not-For-Profit website and home for the LUGs Resource Project,
www.linuxusersgroups.org. This new site is dedicated to providing
resources to Linux Users Groups and the Linux community, planning
to offer services to assist with group management, event planning,
vendor coordination, and more."
"I have worked with the LUGs Resource Project since Kara started
it at Linux.com. The vendor listings and LUGs database created
there allowed for User Groups and Vendors to locate and communicate
with one another world-wide. As an independent project, I believe
more services will be more easily available and become a better
resource for the Linux Community" said Jim Ray, co-founder of the
Linux Demo Day project and Jabberzilla developer."
