"Computer consulting company Linuxgruven.com of Clayton
recently stopped using the Linux training materials made by Wave
Thomson Learning of Creve Coeur a division of Thomson Corp.
Linuxgruven says Wave's price of $200,000 a year for the books and
other "courseware" materials is too high."
"Meanwhile, a Wave subsidiary, Sair Linux of Oxford, Miss.,
has suspended Linuxgruven as one of its accredited centers for
learning Linux. Sair Linux says Linuxgruven failed to hire
instructors that have passed Sair's tests on using its teaching

training materials to be distributed freely over the Internet, Wave
believes its materials are the best, and it has no plans to give
them away, Kousky said. In fact, Kousky said he hopes to win
Linuxgruven back as a customer."
