"We're expanding our coverage of Java because it's becoming clear that, in the age of network computing, Java is the pre-eminent programming language," said Tim O'Reilly, President and Founder of O'Reilly & Associates. "In areas from embedded programming to distributed computation and peer-to-peer computing, Java is ahead of the curve."

"As part of the O'Reilly Network, ONJava.com will be an advocate for open source software development in the Java community. The site will also cover open source Sun initiatives like the Jakarta and JXTA projects under the Apache open source license."
