[ Thanks to Phil Lavigna of MandrakeSoft for this announcement: ]

How to replace Windows with Linux for daily use" is the theme of a series of pages in the Linux-Mandrake Demo & Tutorial Center.

In this second installment, Linux Internet/Networking applications are showcased - particularly the applications that can serve as replacements for popular desktop programs that run under Windows.

The showcased applications include Netscape and Konqueror for browsing the Web; online chatting with Licq, Everybuddy and X-Chat; KMail and Netscape for sending & receiving email; KNode for reading newsgroups; and several other favorites.

A download edition of the L-M Demo & Tutorial Center is available for offline viewing.

Hope you stop by, your comments and suggestions are always welcome.

Cheers,

Phil Lavigna
