"A little more information on the planned Sharp Linux-based
Zaurus PDAs came to light today as the company announced it is
partnering with Hannover, Germany-based PacketVideo to introduce
wireless multimedia capabilities to the devices, slated for arrival
third quarter of this year."
"According to the company, PacketVideo will provide its PVPlayer
software for the new line. PVPlayer is a streaming multimedia
package, already distributed for PocketPC-based devices, that
provides MPEG4 video wirelessly. The software that serves PVPlayer
content can accept WAV audio, AVI and MPEG streams."
