PC Magazine reviews the Linux-based NIC from New Internet Computer Company and likes it:
"We tested the NIC with an LCD through a network connection to AT&T's Excite@home cable service. It powered on in 1 minute 28 seconds and handled downloaded PDF, video, and audio files easily (though it can't play audio CDs; the drive is busy running applications). We could also access our contacts and task lists at fusionOne."
"Although a bit slow because of the OS/application load time, the NIC is a foolproof alternative for extending Internet access in diverse settings."
