Linux for the PlayStation2: Sold Out to the Tune of Four Per Second

We knew there was demand for a Linux port to the PS2, but a report says Sony managed to move all 2000 units it had available within 8 minutes of opening up reservations in Japan today.

The report, a brief e-mail, is on LWN, and it notes that Sony moved four units per second of the Linux PS/2 kits, which clock in at 392 bogomips.
