Central Valley Area Linux Enthusiasts (CVALE), will be hosting a
lecture by open source evangelist Eric S. Raymond on June 13th at
the University of Phoenix in Lathrop, CA. Geek cultural
anthropologist, sometime developer, and author of The Cathedral
and the Bazaar, Raymond is considered one of the Open Source
movements most well spoken evangelists.
Eric Raymond will be speaking on the Zen of Unix - the
philosophy of Unix systems design (and vice versa).
CVALE is a Linux users group located in the Stockton/ Modesto/
Tracy area in central California. CVALE members risk earthquake,
flood, and rolling power outages on a bi-monthly basis as they
attempt to spread Linux goodwill throughout the Central Valley.
