Linux Journal: e-smith server and gateway reviewedJun 16, 2001, 13:30 (5 Talkback[s])(Other stories by Marcel Gagné) [ Thanks to Ross Laver for this link. ] Linux Journal's Marcel Gagné reviews the e-smith server and gateway package: a turnkey secure server package with a web administration front-end. His findings? A good package that home users won't be drawn to, but that will fit the bill perfectly for resellers and small-to-medium-sized businesses. All in all, e-smith is an excellent idea. It provides a neat, packaged solution with a strong emphasis on security that is quite admirable if not downright laudable. The web interface means you can then turn the finished product over to your customers so they can handle their own administration once the installation is complete. Finally, the update service means you can let someone else keep an eye on security fixes and updates. Related Stories:
