From Ken Treis:

Signal Ground has just posted a review of the Linksys Instant Gigadrive, which is a network attached storage device built for Windows networks. But at its core, it's a Linux box running Samba. The review emphasizes the way that Linux enabled this device's existence. Without Linux, the drive would have cost more and wouldn't have worked as well as it does.
