SEUL/edu is the discussion group for those interested in using
Linux for education. This covers all aspects of educational uses of
Linux, by teachers, parents, and students.
"Phillip Harp is working on a paper for the Florida Educational
Technology Conference (to be held in Orlando in March) that will
make the case for using Linux in education. He says:
The paper will emphasize cost of ownership (long and short
term), pluses in terms of educational value, and implementing a
self supporting source for educational software. I also hope to
incorporate a "responsible computing in the community" section in
the curriculum section."
