A project to modify the base Red Hat distribution to include ReiserFS support has made its latest release: the images use kernel 2.4.6, and include support for use with Red Hat's kickstart: From the web page:

At last! We have a new CD image. It's RedHat 7.1 based and features:

  • RedHat's kernel-2.4.6 with ReiserFS compiled in kernel. And with ReiserFS debug code disabled, of course!
  • Hard disk installation support for images on ReiserFS partitions.
  • Kickstart support for ReiserFS: we created an extension ``--filesystem'' to the ``part'' keyword. As an example, use ``part / --ondisk hdd --size 400 --grow --filesystem reiserfs'' on the partition line in ks.cfg.
  • Several rpms updated.
