Red Hat, Inc. (NASDAQ:RHAT),
the leader in developing, deploying and managing open source
solutions, today announced that it has completed a significant
expansion of its consulting services staff with the addition of the
core open source consulting team who had previously worked at VA
Linux Systems (NASDAQ:LNUX).
These consulting professionals will join Red Hat immediately and
will operate from Red Hat locations around the U.S.

The open source consulting services target areas where open
source technologies can greatly improve the strategic use of IT
infrastructure through more effective delivery of business
requirements. As part of Red Hat's strategy to provide end-to-end,
open source solutions, Red Hat also offers implementation, training
and support offerings centered on core Red Hat products, including
operating systems, embedded tools, network services, mail and
directory solutions, and other Red Hat products and services.
The expansion of the consulting practice enhances Red Hat's
