A pair of IBM developers have joined the Samba team. Jeremy Allison explains:
Note this doesn't mean IBM is giving us money or anything. What
it really means is that tridge and I have given these guys CVS
access to the main source code (which is all being on the Team
really means :-). This means a couple of IBM engineers have the
same access rights as the Team members from SGI, HP, Veritas and
Jim and Steve work in the Linux Technology Center at IBM and
have been actively involved in the development and testing of Samba
for a long time. We are delighted to have them in the team!
They've already committed some new code to add a "net use"
utility to allow UNIX command line client control to OS/2 and
Windows NT/2000 servers.
