"Linux developer Red Hat has acquired NOCpulse, a small company that makes server Latest News about server monitoring software. The acquisition will allow Red Hat to offer its users key increases in network administration capability, most significantly the ability to monitor networked computers as a group rather than as individual nodes.

"NOCpulse, a startup founded in 2000 in Sunnyvale, California, makes software that monitors networked computers running a wide variety of operating systems. In addition to monitoring Linux-based servers, NOCPulse's Command Center application allows centralized administration of Sun Solaris servers, as well as servers that use Microsoft Windows and Unix boxes that use Hewlett-Packard's HP-UX.
