"I got the chance to play with a Zaurus 5600 last night and I must say I was a lot more impressed than I expected to be. Sharp really seemed to listen to user feedback and correct some of the problems that made the Zaurus 5500 difficult to use.

"Physically the 5600 looks very similar to the 5500. The devices are the same size, have the same screen, have the same slots in the same location (CF on top of the device and SD on the side), and have slideout minikeyboads. The only obvious difference is that the new device is two-toned (silver on front, black on the back) and that the battery of the new device sticks out on the back of the unit. However, Sharp made some more subtle changes that I think really help usability. The most notable of these is that the distance from the bottom of the keyboard to the lip of the slid-out bottom of the device has been increased..."
