"Red Hat's complaint against the SCO Group regarding Linux hit a
snag Tuesday, with a U.S. District Court ruling to put the case on
hold until resolution of SCO Group's larger case against IBM.
"But the ruling isn't a win for SCO. While the case has been
tabled for the time being, Judge Sue Robinson of Delaware's federal
court also denied the Lindon, Utah, company's request to dismiss
"SCO claims in its suit against IBM that its Unix System V
source code and derivative Unix code have been misappropriated into
Linux. Red Hat then filed suit against SCO over those claims,
asserting that SCO may have distributed some of its proprietary
code under an open source license..."
