"After reading this LXer article as well as the one to which it
was following up to I had this feeling that the kind of view and
points presented through those article show a sign that can now
send a very distinctive and well founded message about the open
source initiative, even if the authors of those articles just don't
straight out say it. The message is that spliting the Free Software
movement in 1998 to start the 'open source' initiative was indeed a
mistake. This is something I believed in for some time already, but
articles like these make me get that 'told you so' feeling. They
strongly reassert my view on the whole 'open source' thing.
