"Recently, Blue GNU reported that the Xming software is released
under the terms of the GNU GPLv2, and that the developer might be
violating its terms. Harrison now states his program is no longer
under the GPL. So here's an update.
"In the beginning was a report about a program called Xming. The
report was on a Free Software news site, which encouraged me to
check out the program, thinking it was Free Software. One of the
first things I noticed on the Xming home page was a statement
referring to LGPL'ed software and that there were restrictions on
redistributing Xming. I was almost certain that the statement could
not cover the LGPL'ed Pthreads software, and so sought
clarification from the developer, Colin Harrison..."
