"What does Linux Mint provide its users?
"Perhaps the single biggest difference between this distribution and others designed for new Linux users is that the developers are actually paying attention to what users are asking for. Unlike the alternatives, Linux Mint's latest features are often reflective of users speaking up and asking for a specific type of functionality. Other goodies include a lot of stuff that many people felt like should have been included with Ubuntu, at least as a discoverable option.

"What does PCLinuxOS provide its users?
Based on my experience, it seems that the kernel has received changes that allow it to work fairly well with hardware that might have been a problem with other distributions. Don't ask me why, but Windows users seem to take to KDE more so than other Windows managers.

"Like Mepis, PCLinuxOS does a great job at making KDE fast loading and responsive. It is also supported with progressive updates in place of frequent releases. This is nice, as many users have found the distribution to be vastly more stable than the alternatives for just this reason."
