"At this point you might wonder why you'd want to go through the trouble of setting up OOoSVN when you can as well use the built-in Version feature in OpenOffice.org. The main reason for this is that OOoSVN allows you to do nifty things not possible with Versions. For example, you can browse all saved versions of the current document using the Graphically browse versions and revert command. The same command can be used to revert the current document to any of its previous versions. You can also compare the current edition of the document with any existing versions using the Compare with older/newer version command."
