"Tor (The Onion Router) is a anonymity network, which is meant
to make you more anonymous. Because of the way Tor works, people
won't get to know your original IP address if you set it up right.
Please note that the government will still be able to monitor what
you do, since they can monitor both sides of the connection. If you
want to share files securely with high encryption, try Freenet.
