"Upon first bootup, allow the OS to load completely until it
reaches a login prompt. The first time it boots up, you'll notice
that the OS does a LOT of things, far more than it's ever done
before. The last step before reaching the login prompt is the
generation of the RSA and DSA system keys.
"Freebsd 7.2 uses a 2048 bit RSA/DSA pair, allowing for
considerably more security than previous versions. Another
interesting, if slightly comical addition, is the inclusion of RSA
and DSA random art images. It's a 11 row by 20 column box filled
with letters, numbers and punctuation marks that's apparently
supposed to show you what the key looks like or something.
"It's an interesting novelty, but since it really has no bearing
on this tutorial, I'll move on. I only wanted to mention it, since
if I hadn't, everyone would have pestered me about it."
