"First, "Vid" requires that at least one of the participants in
a video chat be using a Logitech camera. Given my well known
preference for Philips webcams, that is a significant problem for
me. They do give you 30 days "grace", during which you can use any
camera, but I suppose that at the end of that time you either have
to buy a Logitech camera, or you are left out in the cold. It seems
to me that this whole policy leaves a lot of unanswered questions;
for example, if I don't have a Logitech camera, but I want to chat
with someone who does, can I make the call or do they have to call
me? There are plenty of other scenarios that I can think of which
are equally unclear. Sigh."
