"While I had known about Raiden's Realm for a long time I only just recently discovered an area on his site where he posts his short stories and draft novels. Steve Lake is a writer and he is quite open about his work and allowing us to read his drafts, offering suggestions and letting the grammar police pick through his word smithing.

"Well I started reading them and he has such a captivating story telling style that I couldn't leave until I read everything. I just recently learned that he has released the first novel of a series (I love series of novels) called "The Bitter Cycles of Man". The novel is called The Oort Perimeter and it is about a battle of multiple alien races trying to crush the protectors of an unsuspecting human population. It is a very good read and I am serious in comparing it to a combination of Asimov and Smith."
