"When the Palm Treos came out, they were rather expensive, but I
really wanted to have the all-in-one functionality that the early
smart phones promised. Not having to carry a PDA and a cell phone
was a great convenience.
"Over time, the Treo became more and more outdated. My partner
had his for 3 years and wanted a smart phone upgrade. Well, he
wanted it and wanted it soon, so he moved over to the iPhone. The
problem was that I didn't like that the iPhone had no built-in
keyboard and no ability to connect to a keyboard via Bluetooth, so
I avoided it. That, and I heard that Palm was going to get into the
race, too. I really liked Palm as a brand and wanted to continue to
support them, so I decided to wait.
