"Installing GIMP brushes on Linux is pretty easy. Just go to your /home folder and show hidden files by hitting Ctrl+H. Then, find the GIMP directory (mine is .gimp-2.6). Open it and find the subfolder that is named "brushes". Extract the downloaded brushes on that folder, and that's about it.
