"This is a stoooory about a cat who's gone to the dogs.
Whoops, too much Muppet show. It's not a story about a cat who's
gone to the dogs but the story of a transition from windows to
Linux. This person is one of your typical computer users. Very
smart in many things. A respected English instructor at a well
known University and very good at their work. Unfortunately,
unwilling and unable to spend time learning how to properly care
for their computer. To this person a computer is simply a tool
enabling them to do their work. The usual appliance mentality.

persons computer was running windows xp and they didn't want to
change. Since they bought the computer I was occasionally involved
with keeping it running. They know I use Linux and have expressed
