gone to the dogs but the story of a transition from windows to
Linux. This person is one of your typical computer users. Very
smart in many things. A respected English instructor at a well
known University and very good at their work. Unfortunately,
unwilling and unable to spend time learning how to properly care
for their computer. To this person a computer is simply a tool
enabling them to do their work. The usual appliance mentality.

computer to computer via USB flash drives, virus's are rife. This
persons computer was running windows xp and they didn't want to
change. Since they bought the computer I was occasionally involved
with keeping it running. They know I use Linux and have expressed
some interest in it yet were unwilling to leave windows. Stating

manage to convince them to allow me to install Kubuntu on a very
