"Installs, configures, and maintains Linux operating systems.
Analyzes and resolves problems associated with the operating
system's servers, hardware, applications, and software. Monitors
systems performance and ensures compliance with security standards.
May require a bachelor's degree in a related area and 3-5 years of
experience in the field or in a related area. May also require a
Linux certification such as Red Hat. Familiar with standard
concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish
goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general
supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is
required. Typically reports to a project leader or manager."
