“Castelle (Nasdaq:CSTL), the original pioneer of fax server and
print server appliances, today announced its expansion of the
award-winning FaxPress product line with FaxPress 6.2, an updated
software and firmware release offering support for Linux and
Microsoft Windows NT/2000 Terminal Server. The upgrade enables new
and existing FaxPress owners to take full advantage of multiple
operating and networked environments, providing them with greater
convenience and increased flexibility.”

“As one of the leading major fax server vendors to support
Linux, Castelle’s FaxPress 6.2 will now support local area networks
based on Linux Server using Samba
and will be able to manage
and store faxes, users, system files and phonebooks on the Linux
server in the same way as with Novell NetWare and Microsoft Windows
NT/2000-based servers. With Windows NT/2000 Terminal Server
support, users will have the capability to host FaxPress client
software with full deployment simultaneously to multiple clients
all through a single installation program. FaxPress 6.2 also
provides features including self approval, broadcast switch, and
Goldmine 5 and FrontOffice 2000 support.”

“We are excited about broadening our cross-platform solutions
and providing Linux and Windows NT/2000 Terminal Server support
with our latest offering, FaxPress 6.2,” said Edward Heinze,
Castelle’s Vice President, Sales/North America. “In addition to
providing an extremely stable platform for the FaxPress server, our
solutions illustrate our extensive plans for the inter-networked
computing environment.”
