“O’Reilly Network has launched ONJava.com, an independent web
site focused on enterprise Java development. The new site provides
development tools, resources, and articles for enterprise Java
developers, according to the O’Reilly Network. ONJava.com
emphasizes cross-platform development and peer-to-peer networking
between servers, PCs and wireless devices….”

“We’re expanding our coverage of Java because it’s becoming
clear that, in the age of network computing, Java is the
pre-eminent programming language,” said Tim O’Reilly, President and
Founder of O’Reilly & Associates. “In areas from embedded
programming to distributed computation and peer-to-peer computing,
Java is ahead of the curve.”

“As part of the O’Reilly Network, ONJava.com will be an advocate
for open source software development in the Java community. The
site will also cover open source Sun initiatives like the Jakarta
and JXTA projects under the Apache open source license.”
