By the Demand of Users… GeekCast expands Benevolent
Penguin Internet Service Offering to include Corporate VPN users.
Significant expansion of fund raising expected.

service to raise funds for Linux community and good works projects,
they had no idea of the size of the response, nor the directions it

“Announced with a January 1st 2000 official opening, BPS
Internet Access has proved to be a very successful fundraiser for
The Benevolent Penguin Society, a Linux community benevolence
organization. In the words of Geekcast CEO Jeff Gerhardt “our

the service to the next level is the inquiries by CIO’s and network
managers of corporations that either support Linux as a user or
Linux vendors themselves; that want to use the service as a bridge

the new Pass Through Service, that takes advantage of our national
Dial-Up and DSL networks as a bridge network to the corporate
LAN….”
