activities.

“The Melbourne Linux Users Group, Inc. (http://www.mlinux.org/)
announces its participation in the world-wide Linux Demo Day
(http://www.linuxdemo.org) by holding a local event in Melbourne,
Florida. The local Linux Demo Day event is scheduled for Thursday,
February 17th, 2000. It will be held at CompUSA store #613 at 2400
West New Haven Avenue in Melbourne, FL. The event will run during
regular store hours from 10:00am until 9:00pm with an introductory
presentation on Linux and related Open Source software at the top
of every hour. There will be giveaways and door prizes including
distributions of the Linux OS, books and T-shirts donated by Linux
companies like Red Hat and Suse.”

“While this event is being held to coincide with the release of
another server class operating system, it is not meant as a
statement about that operating system in any way. This event is to
highlight the fact that a choice exists for both businesses and
consumers,” says Anthony Awtrey, chairman of the Melbourne Linux
User Group, Inc.”
