“Mission Critical Linux LLC and SGI (NYSE: SGI) together
announced today that the companies will enter into an alliance
agreement to launch enterprise-class Linux® solutions on a
global scale. This is the first time that a complete Linux
operating system-based enterprise computing solution, addressing
the needs of true mission-critical computing, has been made
available on a worldwide basis.”

“The agreement will combine SGI’s expertise in innovative and
powerful enterprise computing with Mission Critical Linux’s
state-of-the-art interactive management tools and services. The
combined offering will leverage Mission Critical Linux’s support
services expertise with SGI’s high-end global market presence. The
two companies announced that they will integrate Mission Critical
Linux’s Secure Service Technology (SST, patent-pending) with SGI’s
Embedded Support Partner (ESP) to deliver a dynamic proactive
support infrastructure. SGI and Mission Critical Linux are planning
to seamlessly integrate their service delivery processes to provide
service solutions. As a result, clients will benefit from a single
point of service offered on a global scale.”
