“In the past, I usually found myself disappointed with
Mandriva. I have been an on-again off-again user for several years,
and usually there was some major issue in each release that kept me
from using it as my default desktop. In the old days of Mandrake, I
found that most of the packages that were included were a version
or two behind, and the distribution was hardly cutting edge. In
later releases, I experienced weird and unexplained bugs that
annoyed me. In general, I have always stuck with Kubuntu, as it has
always contained the latest KDE desktop and bleeding edge programs.

“When it comes to Kubuntu, their latest version was a flop.
While I found Ubuntu 9.04 to be the best GNOME desktop of the year
(so far), I found Kubuntu 9.04 to be quite the opposite: The latest
Kubuntu suffered a completely broken and unusable network
manager.”
