aimed at video-intensive military applications. The Thermite TVC
3.0 runs Linux, according to the company, and features Core 2 Solo
or Duo processors and a variety of video capture and graphics
options.“The TVC 3.0 comes in a sealed alloy enclosure and includes a
choice of hard disk drives, including a shock-resistant,
extended-temperature 80GB unit, or solid state disks (SSDs) ranging
from 16GB to 64GB. Operating temperatures range from 0 to 72 deg. C
(32 to 161 deg. F) with a hard disk drive, or -40 to 85 deg. C (-40
to 185 deg. F) with an SSD and ‘conformal coating’ applied,
according to the company…”
