“Hoping the “Linux” in its name carries it all the way to the
bank, VA Linux Systems Inc. today raised the price range for the
shares being offered in its IPO to the $21-to-$23 zone from between
$11 and $13 apiece.”
“The Sunnyvale, Calif.-based company still intends to sell 4.4
million shares in the deal, according to an amended Form S-1,
released this afternoon.”
“With the price-range shake-up, VA Linux now expects to reap
$88.6 million in net proceeds, or $40.9 million more than it
previously anticipated.“
