“Releasing Corel Linux without any industrial strength
applications may have been a mistake. WordPerfect 8 would have been
a good start. The version of Netscape included is fast and stable
but doesn’t have email or newsgroup reading capabilities. Corel
promises they will be releasing their office suite in sometime next
spring. I sure hope so….”
“I’ve been working with Corel Linux a couple weeks now. It
was easy to install, is very stable, and I like the KDE desktop.
This is to let you know I have a bias, even if it’s based on The
Usability Factor.“
“It’s also Debian based, which means if you want to upgrade the
OS or add any new programs you have to develop at least a vague
understanding of Debian. As I’ve spent all of three days trying to
understand the Debian Factor, I can hardly be called an
expert.”
