“The issues brought before us about free speech and scientific
research as it exists in technology are being tested by the ongoing
DVD tribunal about “discussion” and “information sharing” for
“scientific (in this case reverse engineering)” purposes. I say
they’ve gone too far!!!”

“The question, is it wrong for people to publish ideas and
thoughts for scientific/technological advancement?”

“Yet it not be a greater crime to let companies prevent people
from sharing their thoughts and ideas for scientific/technological
advancement?”

In order to understand what the issues are here, we need to
look at what DVD really is and why the DVD-CCA organization has the
need for encryption?
What it gains from encrypting DVD’s.”
